OG&E crews return home after restoring power to parts of Puerto Rico

The crew has spent the past 40 days helping restore power to residents across Puerto Rico.

They said the work was very rewarding.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - Another power outage has hit the capital of Puerto Rico for the second day in a row after a failure was reported at a substation.

Shortly before Friday's blackout, power company director Justo Gonzalez said in a statement that electricity had been restored to almost 90 percent of the island's electricity customers.

PGA Tour players who typically would be playing the Puerto Rico Open this weekend instead teed off on Friday with LPGA and island sport stars in a 36-hole charity event.

The company says some of their workers have been in Puerto Rico, restoring power, since January.
