HTC to likely unveil U12+ on May 23

It might strike most as unusual, but as per leaks, HTC might be calling their upcoming flagship, the U12 Plus and not the U12. On the official Twitter account, HTC has posted an image depicting a new launch event to happen on 23rd May 2018. On the other hand, the HTC U12+ is said to offer dual cameras on the front and rear.

Strangely enough, it appears as if the phone may be called the HTC U12 Plus rather than the HTC U12, making us think of the company may be trying to drive home the device's status as a premium handset.

"Coming Soon. A Phone that is more than the sum of its specs", writes HTC. From the above-featured image, we can see total four camera sensors.

Russian fighter jet crashes over Mediterranean Sea
According to specialists, the aircraft was gaining altitude when it crashed. "The plane was not struck by any projectile". The plane was one of Russia's most advanced fighter aircrafts and performed its maiden flight in 2012.

The HC U12 Plus has been leaked previously and its expected specs are known. This resolution suggests that we'll likely either see an 18:9 or 19:9 display resolution, but that hasn't been confirmed at this point. The phone will also be water and dust resistant (IP68).

It will be offering up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The company is also expected to feature the second generation of HTC Edge Sense hardware in the device. There will be an 8MP front-facing camera. It will sport HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation, and HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition for an enhanced audio experience.

To keep the device running most of the day, a 3,420mAh battery is installed.
