Google's new AI feature is so human, it'll creep you out

Soon, though, Google Assistant could be calling businesses on your behalf and setting up appointments.

The search giant aims to make Google Assistant and other services so useful that people can not live without them - or the search results that drive its advertising business. Along with this, the Photos feature will analyse your pictures in the gallery and give you suggestions on quick fixes. While Google already has some sort of smart responses integrated in their email client, it's not almost as robust as it will be in the future with the upcoming changes - allowing the client to predict writing based on history.

To understand the business potential of these announcements, let's recap some of the most important ones: The launch of six new voices for Google Assistant.

One of the biggest crowd-pleasers for the thousands of software developers who gathered at the outdoor conference was an augmented-reality feature on Google Maps that helps people get walking directions.

Natural conversations: Google Assistant has also been made more competent in conversing with humans in a more natural manner. In a video shown on the keynote, Google Assistant was shown having a conversation with a real employee and getting a booking done for the user. So while previously one would use the keyword "Hey Google" each time one needed to interact with the smart assistant, that is no longer a requisite for all subsequent interactions the user makes with the assistant. With Google Assistant on LG TVs, users need not invest in devices like Google Home or Google Home Mini.

After first being revealed all the way back at CES 2018, Google's range of smart displays finally have a release date: July 2018. CEO Sundar Pichai put the spotlight on the company's efforts to developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in ways to make your life easier.

Malaysia may renegotiate some deals with China - Mahathir
Asifa Hanifah joined thousands of opposition supporters in central Kuala Lumpur who waved flags, cheered and honked vehicle horns. Malaysia's prime minister Najib Razak concedes his defeat, saying he and his colleagues "accept the verdict of the people".

This feature is said to be rolling out in the coming weeks in the U.S. as an experiment to "normal users". Hopefully, we'll hear more from Google about the security behind the tool in the coming days and months. "So we really think we can help users with digital well being". It can even add a few occasional "mmhmm" or "hmm" to make the conversation look natural and lifelike. See the Walmart site for more information.

AI has been built into the Android phones and it will be able to shut down apps that are not being used, it will also adjust the brightness depending on lighting that will help save battery.

A couple of useful features have also come with Google Maps. This feature is developed with an aim to make users more present in the meetings and times were checking the phone isn't the best thing to do.

Last, but certainly not least, is a focus on Computer Vision moving forward. But Google says the new Google News will go even further than others in harnessing the power of machine learning.

For its photos service, Google is starting a new service called "Suggested Actions".

But not everyone will see the new Android features soon - if at all.
