Lewis Hamilton makes big Ferrari accusation after practice for Spanish Grand Prix

Mercedes drove to a double success in Friday's Spanish Grand Prix practice after world champion Lewis Hamilton recorded the fastest time in the second session to follow up team-mate Valtteri Bottas' earlier success in FP1.

Will Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes make it back-to-back victories at the Circuit de Catalunya?

"We got through all our running and were quite fast compared to previous years", Hamilton said.

Daniel Ricciardo, who crashed with Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen in Azerbaijan, had a tough start to his weekend in Barcelona by going off the track and hitting a tire barrier midway through the session.

Bottas was fastest with a lap of 1 minute, 18.148 seconds at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Friday, almost a second quicker than teammate Lewis Hamilton, who was second fastest.

Vettel conceded the battle for pole position will be fierce, saying: "We could end up in P1 or P6 but I think we can improve". Imagine if I got excited now, knowing that we still have all the problems. "Unfortunately, mine was costly enough to miss the last hour of that session".

"I think we can improve and I know there is a little bit more in the vehicle, and a little bit more in me". "I think it could be a lot more fun", Hamilton said. "We still don't know what happened, but we'll figure it out".

Bottas was also encouraged by Mercedes' pace but nevertheless expects another three-team battle for supremacy.

Robert Kubica completed his first practice session of the year with Williams and drove Sergey Sirotkin's vehicle to the 19th fastest time.

Pharma Shares Shrug Off Trump's Drug Pricing Plan
Industry experts have closely scrutinized the role that pharmacy benefit managers play in the pharmaceutical supply chain. Because of the lack of transparency in the system, it's impossible to tell exactly who benefits from rebates.

The team had to make some modifications to Kubica's vehicle because the Polish driver doesn't have full movement of his right hand.

But he returned in the afternoon to finish a competitive second place, in front of teammate Verstappen. City Councillor Ken Russell shared a view of the proposed layout on Twitter that runs around the American Airlines Arena, home of the NBA's Miami Heat, and past the city's Freedom Tower, before going across the harbor and doubling back toward Downtown.

"It's hard to say that it was enjoyable because our vehicle balance was very bad and it was very hard to drive". "But I'm satisfied with the session and with how I reacted to hard conditions".

"I don't get why, for example, in golf you get all the great golfers who design golf courses, and then you've not got any of the top racing drivers ever in history who ever designed a race track", Hamilton said.

"It was pretty good overall", said Hamilton.

All three drivers managed to continue in the session, but blustery winds and the circuit's new track surface appeared to be causing handling issues for drivers up and down the grid.

"These conditions make it very hard to define where the set-up needs to go".

They were fortunate to emerge unscathed, particularly Hartley whose Toro Rosso skated right up to the edge of a barrier on the outside of the gravel, but Ricciardo was not so lucky.
